I purchase my products almost exclusively through 2 mail order catalogs. These catalogs have saved me hundreds of dollars. It may not be practical for the small aquarium owner that has a few fish. But if you have a lot of tanks and fish it would be well worth your time and trouble to check out the prices and buy large quantities. If you are setting up your first tank and purchasing all your equipment they can save you a considerable amount of money. I have found that I can save a tremendous amount of money by purchasing through these two places. Sometimes as much as 50% or more.

Though you still access the site as "Pet Warehouse" all of their orders are going through Foster and Smith now. So, don't think you have hit a wrong link when you leave the index page.
You may either call, E:Mail or use their online form to request a free catalog. Be SURE and specify that you wish the fish catalog. They carry all kinds of pet products and have specific catalogs for the type of pet you have.

With as many fish and aquariums as we have, I have found going through these mail order companies a great advantage. You can buy in larger quantities which, of course, helps us since we have so many fish.
Since both places charge different prices for the supplies, figure out what you want, figure the cost of the items, add your shipping and see which place is cheapest. We just placed an order in both that totaled over $450.00. I ended up buying from both places. On some things the prices were so much lower at Pet Warehouse than That Fish Place that even with higher shipping charges it still came out cheaper. Though you do have to pay for shipping, you can still save money if you buy enough products to compensate for the shipping.

Best Value Aquarium Supplies is one of the few Canadian On-line retailer dedicated to Aquarium supplies. Though I live in the United States, I did check out this site and the prices seem to be very reasonable. So, if you are in Canada, you might want to drop by and see what you think.
