Recently my Mom was diagnosed with Lung Cancer and given a short time to live. Throughout the years I have told her about the wonder of the Internet. I've told her how people... complete strangers... will reach out to you in times of trouble and help you.

Since her diagnosis I received a ton of E:Mail messages from people I met on the Internet saying they are Praying for my Mom and our family and are keeping her in their thoughts. I have read all of these messages to my Mom. She can hardly believe that people from all over the world that she does not even know are thinking of her and Praying for her.

A couple of people asked if they could send a Card to my Mom since she does NOT have a Computer. And with that... this idea was born. I thought what a wonderful idea it would be for people to send cards to my Mom to cheer her up during this time. :)

There really isn't a whole lot that a person can do for a Loved One at a time like this other than to be there for them, listen to them and support them in any way they can. However, knowing how much my Mom LOVES getting cards in the mail I thought this would be just one additional thing I could do for my Mom.

If you would like to send a card to my Mom to let her know you are thinking of her or Praying for her, I sure would appreciate it. :) I know that it would mean a LOT to her and it would mean the world to me as well.

If you would like an idea of what kinds of things she likes... well she LOVES cats. Hum... must be where I got that from. Hehehe. She also LOVES Dolphins and Sharpei doggies. And at this point in time... now that she is turning so much to God... I'm sure any type of Christian card would be enjoyed as well. So perhaps you might have a card laying around that has one of those things on it. :)

If you would like to pass this site or my Mom's address around to friends or family or groups you're in... please feel free to do so. Perhaps some of you are Girl Scout or 4H leaders or teachers. Maybe this would be a good project for your children to do. Or perhaps church groups or something. I don't know. Just some ideas I've come up with. The more cards the better. :)

In closing I would like to thank you very much. Even if you don't send a card please keep my Mom and our family in your Prayers and thoughts.
